For the past 12 years, Lou Grumet served as executive director of the New York Society of Certified Public Accountants, CEO of the Foundation for Accounting Education and the CPA Political Action Committee, and publisher of The CPA Journal.

His 38-year career in public service spans a variety of roles with civic and professional organizations and local and state government bodies, including 14 years as executive director of the New York State School Boards Association. He has a law degree from New York University and a master’s degree in public affairs from the University of Pittsburgh.

Lou's first book, "The Curious Case of Kiryas Joel" was published in 2015.  He is hard at work on a second book.
